概要 | 概要 Our understanding about how visual pathways develop is still in its infancy, because few molecular markers corresponding to individual retinal ganglion cell (RGC) types are available. Here, we generated knock-in mice to visualize SPIG1-expressing cells with GFP. We found that the GFP (SPIG1) expression marks a functional subtype of ON direction selective ganglion cells (DSGCs) in a pan-ventronasal domain of the mouse retina during the neonatal period. Monitoring the GFP-labeled RGCs provided new insights into the developmental changes in the dendritic stratification and mosaic formation.
