概要	1,1'-(p- or m-Phenylene)bis(2,4,6-triphenylpyridinyl) diradical were prepared by the reduction of the corresponding dications. The plots of the ESR signal intensity vs. I/T show that both the p- and m-diradicals are singlet in the ground state with a singlet-triplet energy gap of 51 cal/mol for the p-isomer and 44 cal/mol for the m-isomer.
