概要	4,4'-(Anthracene-1,8-diyl)bis(1-methyl-2.4,6-triphenylpyridinylyl) (2) which was prepared by 3%-Na-Hg reduction of the corresponding dication was found to be singlet in the ground state; the triplet slate lies very little (12.5 cat/mol) above the singlet state.
