概要	This paper shows the present distribution and quality of the [ɪu] diphthong between Welsh and Cornish accents of English based on original audio recordings made in Pontypridd, Cardiff, Pembroke, Looe, Truro, Heamoor and Mousehole in 2014 and 2016. The historical contrastive distinction between 'blue' and 'blew' (and between 'through' and 'threw') appeared to be distinctly retained only in Pontypridd in South Wales. However the similar distinction was found even in West Cornwall. The regional and personal allophonic differences of the vowel are explored. Although the historical sound change from Middle English 'iu' to the present vowel as one of the reflexes occurred differently in Cornish accents, Cornish speakers hardly use the diphthong for the word of 'juice'. On the contrary, most Welsh speakers use the vowel for the word at the present.
