概要	This paper discusses the present distribution of the contrastive diphthong /ɪu/ of Welsh accents of English. The data for this paper were recorded in August and September 2014 in three areas in South Wales: Pontypridd, Cardiff and Pembroke. The vowels of 17 words from 20 subjects were analysed by using the software Praat (Ver. 5.3) and the historical distinction between blew and blue (and between threw and through) was found to be distinctly retained only in Pontypridd. The regional and personal phonemic variants of these vowels are explored and the present-day tendencies of the vowels in the three areas are shown.
