概要	This paper discusses all of three diphthongs of four regional accents (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Orkney and Shetland) of Scottish English (SE) in terms of the realisations of the Scottish Vowel-Length Rule (SVLR). Also the timing constraints of the Voicing Effect (VE) to the vowels of SE are discussed. The trajectory length in formant dynamics of the diphthongs was measured and schematised. The regional differences of allophones of the diphthongs are bewilderingly complex. The SVLR should be a rule not only for length but also for quality, and moreover for the ratio between the first and second part of durations of the diphthongs.
