概要	This paper reports on the distribution of tones of Scottish Standard English (SSE). The recordings of both a monologue and a dialogue by an SSE speaker were analyzed. The Mid-Level tone represents more than fifty percent of all tone units in both the monologue and the dialogue. Moreover, the Mid-Fall tone (H* M%) is introduced to the classification and discussed as an indispensable tone for SSE. This study shows that the Mid tone as a phrase boundary tone (M%) is dominant in SSE.
