概要 | The author has been investigating the influences of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) on English learners at university in Japan since the CAI was introduced into one of the formal English classes. Katagiri (2006) found that students who took the CAI made statistically significantly greater progress in TOEIC IP scores than students who did not by approximately 45 points. The purpose of this study is to investigate how many points are increased in TOEIC IP scores among the university students who study English through e-learning by themselves, so that the educational effects of the CAI (Katagiri 2006) and e-learning (this study) can be compared. The results might imply that CAI works better than e-learning, but further studies are needed. |
