概要	The strength of silicon carbide decreases with increase of stress rate and is not affected by time-dependent mechanism or cycle-dependent mechanism. Fracture occurs at constant strain. On the other hand, the strength of alumina ceramics increases with increase of stress rate and is affected by time-dependent mechanism in the lower frequency range and by cycle-demendent mechanism at higher frequency. The transition region is discussed.
